It also included a multi-year deal whereby Sony’s gaming gear brand INZONE entered with Riot Games to power VCT EMEA-the pinnacle VALORANT competition in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In connection with the arrangement, the new deal now crowns INZONE as Main Partner and Official Gaming Display Partner across the continent until the end of 2026.
With this agreement, the deal will entail INZONE equipping key areas inside the Riot Games Arena facility in Berlin with monitors of its newest series, establishing the most perfect environment in which to hone gaming skills professionally. Furthermore, the visitors can experience these monitors in person, enjoying a station specifically prepared as a 1v1 fan zone during days with events taking place within the VCT EMEA competition format.
Daniel Ringland, Head of VALORANT Esports EMEA, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “INZONE has become a major player in the pro-gaming performance scene, so we’re delighted to bring them on board as a partner of VCT EMEA for the next two years.” He emphasized that INZONE’s dedication to advancing esports technology aligns perfectly with the evolving demands of the gaming community.
Sony has been heavily investing in gaming and esports segments, and INZONE has become very crucial to that. Besides the recent partnership with VCT, INZONE is also the Official Headset Partner of such famous VALORANT esports teams as Fnatic and ZETA DIVISION. This deal shows Sony’s determination in supporting elite competitive gaming.
In 2022, it partnered with the UK-based Excel Esports. INZONE-sponsored major esports events included the Evolution Championship Series, 2022 and 2023 editions, and the PGL Dota 2 Arlington Major. Such deals have positioned INZONE as a well-established brand in the esports industry.
Parent Sony Group Corporation has been rather active in the esports world. Last year, Sony inked a multi-year deal with the Esports World Cup Foundation, organizers behind the Esports World Cup (EWC). As one of its founding partners, Sony took on responsibilities to produce a behind-the-scenes documentary series showcasing players and games while creating the official anthem for the 2024 EWC through Sony Music Entertainment.
This strategic alliance between INZONE and VCT EMEA represents another milestone in the ongoing commitment by Sony to innovation and community engagement in esports.
