Apple’s Next MacBook Pros: Unboxing Videos Show Unreleased M4 Chip Models

Share:

In an unexpected twist, Apple’s upcoming MacBook Pros appear to have been leaked by not one but two Russian YouTubers, offering a sneak peek at what seems to be the next 14-inch model, equipped with an M4 chip. Despite no official announcement from Apple, rumours have been swirling about a potential November launch, and these videos only add fuel to the fire.

First to reveal the mystery laptop was the popular Russian tech channel Wylsacom, which posted a detailed unboxing over the weekend. In the 13-minute video, the host compares the yet-to-be-released MacBook Pro with a 2022 MacBook Air, running Geekbench tests and noting significant speed boosts. The laptop’s packaging closely resembles that of the M3 model, with the same wallpaper—a detail Apple usually updates annually, suggesting a spec bump but no major design overhaul.

Shortly after, another Russian YouTuber, Romancev768, added to the frenzy by sharing his own unboxing video, further confirming the existence of an M4 chip. His video also offered a closer look at the “About This Mac” screen, leaving no doubt about the device’s new internal hardware.

Renowned tech journalist Mark Gurman from Bloomberg called the leak “unprecedented,” a sentiment shared by prominent leaker ShrimpApplePro, who pointed out that a seller claimed to have 200 of these unreleased MacBook Pros in stock. ShrimpApplePro even shared leaked images of the 14-inch model’s packaging last month, further indicating that a major warehouse leak had occurred.

With the tech world buzzing, all eyes are now on Apple’s next move. Will they confirm the November launch or attempt to contain what could be one of the biggest MacBook Pro leaks in recent memory? Stay tuned.
