Sonos Debuts New Headphones: A Review of the Ace

Share:

Sonos is facing challenges with the release of its first headphones, the Ace. While the hardware itself is amazing – cushty, elegant, and with precise sound nice – software program insects and boundaries are protecting it back.

The marquee feature, TV Audio Swap, allows users to seamlessly switch audio from a Sonos Arc soundbar to the headphones. However, it best works continuously for iPhone users who also personalize the Arc, and Android compatibility is coming later this year. This alienates a large portion of the marketplace who can not experience this key functionality.

Another frustration is the new Sonos app, which has been met with blended evaluations. Bugs with the TV Audio Swap feature and other functionalities upload to the sensation that the app becomes rushed out alongside the headphones.

Sonos claims these are its maximum asked product ever, and speeding the release might have been a strategic selection to capitalize on that demand. However, it comes at the price of a less polished product and a potentially pissed off client base.

In conclusion, the Sonos Ace headphones have a number of abilities. But with software troubles and limited functionality at launch, it seems like they wanted greater time in improvement. Only time will tell if Sonos can deal with those issues and make the Ace a success.
