Share:

At the Mobile World Congress event, Displace – renowned for their pioneering stick-on TVs that revolutionized the tech industry- has disclosed forthcoming models and exhilarating AI functionalities.

Displace is introducing the “Display Mini,” a compact 27-inch option ideal for use in kitchens and bathrooms, following the success of their flagship 55-inch model called “Display Flex”, launched in 2023. This latest addition caters to consumers who desire Displace’s advanced technology on a smaller scale, making it more convenient for limited spaces.

However, that is not all, as Displace has implied the addition of advanced AI functionalities like an “AI-driven shopping engine.” Such a feature would enable consumers to purchase products seamlessly from ads on their screens. Moreover, they are also developing a touchless payment reader for providing customers with a futuristic and contact-free shopping experience.

In addition, Displace introduced a built-in thermal camera with promising health applications. It can detect inflammation by tracking body heat and adds to their TVs’ already diverse range of features.

Displace CEO Balaji Krishnan expressed excitement in revealing the new developments and expanding their customer base with the introduction of ‘Display Mini’. The company is also committed to fulfilling pre-orders and anticipates starting shipping by mid-year due to enhanced designs resulting in reduced weight.

Krishnan disclosed his intentions to raise $5 million in funds for further development. He highlighted that while conventional customers are content with established TV arrangements, Displace’s exceptional wall and window mounting capabilities have piqued the curiosity of businesses such as art studios, museums, and embassies.

The Displace TVs employ a cutting-edge vacuum suction system that allows them to securely attach to different surfaces, such as drywall. Furthermore, they are fitted with interchangeable batteries for longer usage periods. Like LG’s OLED M series, the Displace televisions do not feature any ports and instead rely on a base station for streaming content.

Its suction system allows the “Display Flex” to last up to 10 months on a single battery charge. In case of battery failure, a safety measure will engage and use a zipline mechanism to gradually lower the TV in an orderly manner for complete assurance.

Displace has positioned itself to transform the TV industry by prioritizing innovation and diversifying its product line. This provides individuals and organizations with an extraordinary and adaptable viewing encounter unlike any other.
