Logitech G doubles down on sim racing with new Racing Series lineup

Share:

During Logi PLAY 2024, Logitech’s yearly product release and showcase event, the peripherals and hardware company announced a new series of simulation racing products. The new Racing Series lineup features a new wheelbase, quick-release hub, wheel hub, two new steering wheels and a shifter and handbrake combo.

Logitech has long been one of the prominent producers of racing peripherals, going back more than two decades. However, the company has never had a truly professional-oriented series of products comprising separate sim racing products that drivers can use to custom-create a setup.

Logitech has launched a new wheelbase for sim racing called the PRO DD11 Wheel Base. The base will fit Logitech’s new RS Wheel Hub, which has a steering wheel attachment with new buttons and switches. In addition, Logitech has released a quick-release hub for its wheelbase, which means the base is now compatible with dozens of steering wheels for simulation and real-world racing.

Logitech has again partnered with steering wheel brand MOMO for two new premium steering wheels, entirely developed by the Italian steering wheel and automobile equipment brand. In addition, Logitech’s new adapter will fit any existing MOMO racing wheel.

Lastly, Logitech has announced a sequential shifter and handbrake combo, which can be fine-tuned through the G HUB software and changed between shifter and handbrake.

Logitech has also announced that the new and old models will be backwards compatible, allowing users to include new gear in their existing setups by adding a new steering wheel hub or shifter. Interestingly, Logitech has seemingly decided to not launch a dedicated H-pattern shifter.
