How to enable Apple Intelligence on your iPhone 

Apple has officially started rolling out its Apple Intelligence features, initially announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June. These AI capabilities are available through iOS 18.1 but are currently limited to iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPads/Macs with M1 chips. While previously restricted to specific regions, users worldwide — excluding the EU and China — can access Apple Intelligence by setting their language to U.S. English.

How to Enable Apple Intelligence:

1. Open the Settings app.
2. Navigate to the Apple Intelligence & Siri menu.
3. Toggle to enable Apple Intelligence.
   Once activated, your iPhone will download the necessary models and prepare the system. A notification will confirm when it’s ready to use.

Key Features:

• New Siri: Siri gets a refreshed animation and improved usability. You can double-tap the bottom bar to type requests instead of speaking. Siri can also manage corrections, e.g., “Set a 10-minute, no, 15-minute timer.”
• Writing Tools: Reformat any text with tools like Proofread (for grammar checks), Rewrite (to adjust text tone), and tone modifiers like Friendly, Professional, or Concise. Summarization tools convert text into lists or tables.
• Mail App: View email summaries and prioritize important messages at the top of the inbox. Smart replies allow for quick responses.
• Photos: Search photos using natural language and create personalized memories with prompts.
• Notes App: Record and transcribe audio directly with automatic summaries.
• Call Transcriptions: Record calls easily, with transcripts saved in the Notes app.
• Clean Images: Remove unwanted objects from photos with intuitive selection tools.
• Notification Summaries: Summarized previews for mail and messages.

Some features, like object removal, emoji generation, and ChatGPT integrations, are still pending release, with no fixed timeline provided.
