Fortnite’s latest virtual concert took the game’s creativity to colossal levels, featuring a lineup of four iconic artists: Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and Juice WORLD. The event turned these stars into kaiju-sized performers while weaving in elements of Fortnite’s lore and teasing the next iteration of the battle royale island.
The concert began at Snoop Dogg’s in-game compound, which has been a map staple since November. A giant version of Snoop performed before launching players into space for the next performance. Eminem followed, battling a massive robot amid a dramatic storm, while Ice Spice towered over a cityscape reminiscent of Godzilla. The finale returned players to the battle royale island, where Juice WORLD performed two tracks as players transformed into glowing butterflies, a nod to Fortnite’s 2019 black hole event.
In a nostalgic twist, the event echoed elements from past Fortnite moments, including the mecha-monster battle of 2019 and Travis Scott’s larger-than-life 2020 concert. It ended with a preview of Fortnite’s upcoming battle royale island, set to launch with the game’s next chapter on December 1.
Following the concert, Fortnite premiered Juice WORLD’s animated music video for “Empty Out Your Pockets,” set within the game’s universe. This concert also marked the conclusion of Fortnite: Chapter 2 Remix, a month-long music-themed mini-season that highlighted different artists weekly. It was preceded by a real-world concert in Times Square featuring Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice. The next chapter, titled Hunters, kicks off December 1 with new characters like Godzilla and Baymax and a revamped battle royale island. Additionally, Epic will reintroduce Fortnite’s original map, Fortnite OG, as a permanent feature starting December 6, cementing its legacy while pushing forward.
