Motorola is bringing the wooden phone back with its new Edge series

Share:

The new Edge series phones by Motorola are set to revive the nostalgia factor with wooden back panels. The Edge 50 Ultra outshines the rest of its siblings, thanks to state-of-the-art features such as a Snapdragon 8S Gen 3 chip and an OLED display that guarantees “Pantone-validated” color precision at a whopping refresh rate of144Hz. Additionally, it comes equipped with three versatile cameras; one has a remarkable resolution of up to megapixels supported by optical image stabilization technology while also boasting IP68 water resistance rating and wireless charging capabilities for tech-savvy users’ convenience!

The Edge 50 Pro comes at a marginally reduced cost, featuring a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and showcasing four cameras, including one with telephoto capability up to 10 megapixels. The Ultra version as well as the Pro variation provide vegan leather back alternatives; however, exclusively available for the latter is an exquisite “special edition pearl polymer finish.”

The Edge 50 Fusion is the least expensive alternative, incorporating a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip and dual-camera mechanism. It preserves an IP68 rating for water resistance but fails to offer wireless charging. The trio of phones flaunt AI-fueled camera abilities and function on Motorola’s latest Android-based Hello UI version—version numbers being up to date venturing beyond them!

Even though Motorola is keeping mum about the US release, they’ve assured that they’ll be increasing their Edge line in North America this year. The Ultra variant will cost €999 at launch while the Pro and Fusion models start from €699 and €399 respectively, indicating a focus on affluent consumers as well as those within mid-tier range when targeting smartphone sales.
